Whats on the bench?

Well progress is being made with my latest build of the Bedford Q.I from the Airfix Refuelling Kit!

The beginning of Jan I attended the local model club to find out that the aim will be to bring and share our contribution towards the ''Home Front'' group build at the next meeting in Feb...double take Feb! I thought It would have been March/June, hey ho with the rate I knock out models I had to move to plan B as it was certainly ambitious to build the Lancaster also as I would have as much chance as the Euro recovering tomorrow!

Plan B consists of a more achievable build of the Bedford to complement a past build of a spitfire I did sometime back in a small diorama.

The kit is ceratinly Vintage and has been around a while, but I can honestly say it has so much potential as the Bedford had many roles and the chasis of the kit would not take too much modification for other versions.
Despite its age and being fiddly little parts, in addition to the usual flash and lack of location holes it certainly went together without much trouble. A Little filler here and there and some interpretation of the instruction sheet is needed especially with the internal fuel pump but all in all its a pleasant little kit. Just hope the Matador goes together equally as well?

As you will have seen a little attempt to scratch build some detail in the cab was attempted..unfortunately the wheel fell off  after assemble and therefore I went with doors closed option!

Until next time...Happy Modelling

A short film ~ The German

Well I'm soon to start the latest project called ''Home-front'' with my choice depicting an RAF airfield which will include the old Airfix refuelling kit and yet to be chosen a suitable plane.

In the meantime enjoy this short film called ''The German'' that I came across, make sure you have your sound loud to enjoy at its best!
